Terms of service

Last updated · 24 June 2026

These terms govern access to Unit, including the website, the dashboard at app.ctrunit.app, the connected Facebook and Instagram channels, and related services. By signing up for a workspace, you accept them on behalf of the business you represent.

Acceptance

By creating an account, connecting a channel, or otherwise using Unit, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. To sign up, you must be at least 18 and authorised to bind the business you represent. Unit is a business tool, not for personal use.

The service we provide

Unit is a social-media management platform for Facebook and Instagram. It provides:

  • Publish — compose, schedule, and publish posts, reels, and stories to your connected accounts.
  • Engage — manage comments and mentions on your content, including replies and moderation.
  • Inbox — receive and reply to Messenger and Instagram direct messages.
  • Analytics — reach, impressions, engagement, and audience metrics for your accounts.
  • Unit AI — an assistant that drafts captions and reply suggestions and helps you work across the product, using the brand details and knowledge entries you add.

We add features, change the UI, and adjust the AI model over time. We'll do our best not to remove anything you depend on without warning.

Accounts, workspaces, and roles

Unit is organised into workspaces. Each workspace is isolated from others, and data is not shared between them. Within a workspace there are owner, admin, and agent roles with different permissions — for example, only owners and admins can connect or remove channels and manage teammates. You're responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure and inviting only people you trust to your workspace.
  • All activity under your workspace, including actions by your teammates and any AI-assisted output your team sends.
  • Ensuring you have the authority to connect, manage, and publish on the Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts you link.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Unit for spam, scams, fraud, or any activity that violates Meta's policies for Facebook and Instagram. Their policies may be stricter than ours, and a breach on their side may interrupt your channel.
  • Publish or send content that is illegal, sexually exploits minors, harasses, defames, or otherwise harms others.
  • Reverse-engineer the service, attempt to bypass rate limits, or use the service in ways that could harm Unit or other Customers.
  • Use Unit to message or engage people in ways that breach applicable law (e.g. consent and anti-spam rules). The legal basis for communicating with your audience is yours to maintain; we provide the rails.

We may suspend or terminate workspaces that violate these rules. We'll usually contact you first unless the violation is severe.

Your content

You own the content and data you put into Unit — your posts and media, your knowledge entries, your contacts, and the comments and messages that flow through your connected accounts. To operate the service, you grant Unit a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content — for example to publish a post to Meta on your instruction, deliver a reply, generate an AI suggestion, or compute analytics. This licence exists only to run the service for you and ends when you delete the content or close the workspace.

We do not use your content to train general-purpose AI models or share it with third parties beyond what the privacy policy discloses. You can delete your workspace data at any time; deletion and backup expiry are described in our data-deletion guide.

Third-party platforms (Meta)

Unit connects to Facebook and Instagram through Meta's official Graph API, using Facebook Login for Business and Instagram Business Login. When you connect a channel, you also accept Meta's terms and policies, and you confirm you are authorised to manage that account. Unit complies with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

Meta can change, throttle, suspend, or cut off access to its APIs for reasons outside our control. When that happens, Unit will surface the issue where possible but cannot override Meta's decision.

AI features

Unit AI drafts captions, reply suggestions, and assistant responses based on the brand details, knowledge entries, and context in your workspace. It is a tool — not a substitute for human judgement. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a given situation, so you are responsible for reviewing it before it is published or sent.

We don't guarantee AI output is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. Don't rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or other regulated advice.

Plans and billing

Unit offers a free plan and paid plans — Starter and Pro — priced in Ghana Cedis (₵). Each plan unlocks a different set of features and usage limits, shown on our pricing page and in the dashboard. Paid features may be available to use before billing begins; where that is the case, we'll make the applicable charges clear before they start, and we'll give reasonable notice of any future price change. Fees, once charged, are non-refundable except where required by law.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't commit to a contractual SLA at this stage. Routine maintenance windows are kept short and announced in advance where possible. Status updates live on our status page.

Cancellation and termination

You can close your workspace at any time from the dashboard or by emailing [email protected]. We can terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law. On termination, your data is deleted as described in the data-deletion guide.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is capped at the greater of (i) the amounts you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (ii) USD 100. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ghana, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction apply.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
